To celebrate the new Brit-flick, FREESTYLE released in cinemas, Sky Box Office, iTunes, Filmflex and Lovefilm on 26 February, we're giving away 5 copies of the DVD released on March 1st. See below for details.
Ondene Marchant (Lucy Stanhope-Bosumpim) is beautiful, talented and destined to read Law at Oxford. She has spent her whole life following demanding study plans laid down by her ambitious mother Hyacinth (Suzann Mclean), a high powered barrister determined to push her only child to the top.
After years of obedience, Ondene is desperate to break free from the restrictions her studies have placed on her life. She soon discovers freestyle basketball and takes up the offer of lessons from charismatic student Leon (Arinze Kene). When Hyacinth finds out, she resolves to put an end to the relationship.
Although Leon's fighting against the odds to ensure he gains his own educational qualifications to pull himself up and gain stability, Hyacinth is convinced he is a bad influence on Odene because he lives on the local council estate - a place she herself escaped from long ago.
As Leon faces prejudice from his peers for a desire to concentrate on his studies, Ondene faces discrimination on the basketball courts for her passion and their talent to FREESTYLE.
As romance blossoms, the sweethearts face an uphill struggle as they try to succeed in life and love.
