Sloow updates, sorry!

If you've been following my status updates on Facebook, you'll know about the trouble my internet is giving me at the moment. It's causing me great grief when trying to update the site, I can't apologise enough.

Anyway, all has been busy at 2MF HQ, and over the past fortnight I've interviewed two HUGE names in the dance world for a feature coming up next month (more of that in the future).

Two new updates for you, we have a review of the "Hip Hop Surgery" night from Jonzi D Productions, as featured on the 2MF listings flyer for March. Have a read, and make sure to join the Jonzi D mailing list so you don't miss out on future Surgery events!

Second is a review of "The Grey Area," another show featured on 2MF listings, contributed by Archie Jay (that's a pseudonym!), making her début to the world of online reporting. A special shout goes out to her for reviewing, it was kind of difficult for me seeing as I was in it!

More updates and announcements coming soon!

Peace,

Flave

Last 2MF monthly listings event: The Surgery at Soho Theatre, 7pm

We'll have reached the final event on our monthly listings flyer tonight.

To close the monthly listings is The Surgery, brought to you by Jonzi D Productions.

The Surgery is hip hop theatre unlike any other, in that after you've watched the performance, you can give the performers feedback about their piece, tell them what you liked and how they could improve it for future performances.

There will be dancers, poets, emcees and beatmakers preparing to be cross examined by the audience, plus special guest DJ Psykhomantus providing the music.

Tickets are only £5, call 020 7478 0100 or visit http://www.sohotheatre.com/p382.html

Have a great mother's day!

Get in your questions for b-boy Ken Swift!

This update is for the b-boys, b-girls and oldschool heads out there!

I have been fortunate enough to be able to get an interview with the "epitome of a b-boy" Ken Swift on Monday night in advance of a feature I'm doing on an upcoming event, and I'm reaching out to anyone that would like to sneak a quick question in after I've finished it.

The best questions will get put forth to him. Just leave me a message or write on my wall.

New article up, plus videos!

Hey guys, as promised, those videos I mentioned in the last update are now up!

The article is on Breakin' Boundaries, which took place last week, although I had to delay putting it up due to video compatibility problems.

You can now read the article and watch the entire half hour 'seven to smoke' with the YouTube player at the site. Enjoy!

Updates - slow, but steady!

What's happening, people?

Sorry about the slow updates, I've been seeing shows and being IN shows. There's never a dull moment, but that also means there's never a spare moment to update the site either!

For this I apologise, I'm getting on top of the work!

Tonight's update is a review of "Pied Piper" at the Barbican, London. Have a gander, then get on the phone to the ticket office, because it's not something you want to miss - only three days left to see it!

Later on (in due course) I'll have a write up of last Thursday's "Breakin Boundaries" charity event put up, but I'm just working on getting the seven to smoke battle uploaded to YouTube.

As soon as that's done I'll drop you guys an update - all 30 minutes of the battle have been captured, and there's a lot of hype to see!

In the mean time, enjoy the review.

New listings are UP!

March has barely started, and yet I've managed to find another FOUR great things you must attend!

The first event is as soon as this THURSDAY, but what is it? Why should you be there? Then there are the other three things: why are people 'collabo-rating?' Why will you be stepping into the 'grey area,' and which doctor is performing 'surgery?'

Enough with the teasing.
Go to the website and find out this month's listings and the answers to the strange questions I've been asking.
